Refund Policy
We want you to feel good about your purchase. This page explains when and how we issue refunds.
Free preview, paid download
Passport Photo Check is free to try. You only pay when you download a final, un-watermarked photo. Please review your photo carefully in the preview before paying.
When we issue refunds
We will issue a full refund if:
- We are unable to deliver your photo within 24 hours of payment
- The final photo we deliver doesn't match the preview you saw before payment
- You contact us within 30 days of purchase and ask for a refund for any reason — no questions asked
After 30 days, we may still issue a refund where required by law.
When we may decline a refund
We may decline a refund where:
- The photo has already been used and the request is "I changed my mind" after the fact (case-by-case)
- The photo was rejected by an issuing authority for reasons unrelated to the technical specs we apply (lighting in your original selfie, expression, glasses, posture, etc.)
- The request falls outside 30 days with no underlying legal entitlement
We apply current published specs for every country we support, but we don't guarantee acceptance by any specific issuing authority — see our Terms of Service.
How to request a refund
Email support@passportphotocheck.com with:
- The email address used at checkout
- The order ID from your receipt
- A short note explaining what happened
We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued through our payment processor and typically appear in 5-10 business days.
EU and UK consumers
When you complete payment, you expressly consent to immediate delivery of the digital file and acknowledge that, under EU Directive 2011/83/EU and corresponding UK law, you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery begins. This policy continues to apply alongside your other statutory rights.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Most disputes are resolved faster and more fairly through email. Repeated unfounded chargebacks may result in loss of access to the service.
