Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Passport Photo Check, a service operated by Wano Labs LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
What the service does
Passport Photo Check helps you produce a photo that matches the printed dimensions, head-size, and background guidelines published for passports, visas, and similar documents in 180+ countries. The service runs in your browser; we provide cropping, background removal, and printable layout output.
What the service does not do
We do not — and cannot — guarantee that any government, embassy, or document-issuing authority will accept a photo produced by our service. Acceptance criteria change without notice. You are responsible for confirming current requirements with the issuing authority before submitting your photo.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the service.
Your content
The photo you upload remains yours. You grant us a limited, temporary, non-exclusive license to process and store your final rendered photo for the sole purpose of delivering it to you. Final photos are deleted automatically after 7 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You agree that:
- The photo is of you, or of someone who has authorized you to use their image.
- The photo is not intended to deceive, impersonate, or commit fraud.
- You will not upload anything illegal, abusive, or that violates anyone else's rights.
Payments and digital delivery
The service is free to try; you pay only to download a final, un-watermarked photo. Prices are shown at checkout. Payment is handled by our third-party payment processor — we don't see your card details.
When you complete payment, you expressly consent to immediate delivery of the digital file and acknowledge that, under EU Directive 2011/83/EU and corresponding UK law, you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery begins. Refunds remain available under our Refund Policy.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- Use the service to produce photos for fraudulent purposes
- Upload photos of people without their permission
- Attempt to bypass payment or watermark protection
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service
- Use the service in violation of any law
We may suspend or block access to anyone who violates these rules.
Intellectual property
The service, including its software, branding, and content, is owned by Wano Labs LLC. You receive a limited personal-use license to use the service. You don't get any rights in our brand or code beyond what's needed to use the service as intended.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT YOUR PHOTO WILL BE ACCEPTED BY ANY ISSUING AUTHORITY.
The service is not legal, immigration, or document-preparation advice. We are not affiliated with any government or embassy.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS, OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR REJECTION FEES CHARGED BY THIRD PARTIES.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations. In those cases, our liability is limited to the smallest amount allowed by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense arising out of your misuse of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time. We can suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms or applicable law. Disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification survive termination.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York. Nothing here limits any consumer-protection rights you have under your local law.
Severability
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
